Located in Medina Gounass, Dakar, La Petite Maison Rose is a childcare and support facility dedicated to mothers and children in vulnerable situations.
Designed for ONG LVIA, for the benefit of Unies vers Elles Senegal, with the support of SAIPEM, the project offers a protective, light-filled and calming refuge, conceived to support care, recovery and reconstruction.
Organized over three levels, the building includes reception, administration and training spaces on the ground floor, dedicated areas for children on the upper level, and a rooftop terrace designed as an additional living space.
The architecture balances protection and softness through a colored concrete base, a terracotta brick envelope, rounded forms, carefully positioned openings and planted outdoor areas. Each element is designed to create a secure, warm and dignified environment.
Through this project, ID+EA affirms a human-centered approach to architecture, where materiality, natural light, cross ventilation and spatial organization contribute to comfort, care and community well-being.
